A Modern Coastal Haven in Boca Raton
Sanctuary is a gated waterfront enclave in Boca Raton, with lots that curve along the bay. This house takes the curve seriously. The roof follows the contour of the site, sweeping outward in a single continuous gesture that gives the house its identity and provides deep shade along the entire south facade.

It is the one element that could not be straight. Everything else is. The plan is organized around clear axes: the entry, a framed view of the water, the pool, the dock. The facades combine warm wood, stone, stucco, and glass in a palette that reads as both contemporary and rooted. The proportions are horizontal and generous. The overhangs are deep enough to keep the interiors cool without closing them off.

Inside, the ground floor opens through floor-to-ceiling glass onto the pool and the bay. The upper level extends into terraces that offer wider perspectives of the water and the surrounding landscape. Materials are quiet: stone, wood, matte finishes, natural light. The atmosphere is calm, with the kind of silence that comes from getting the proportions right.

The pool is geometric and edged with infinity toward the bay. A timber deck wraps around it, and the tropical planting is dense and private, creating a garden that feels larger than it is. A private dock at the water's edge accommodates a yacht and completes the connection to the bay.

This is a house that takes its geometry from the site, not from a catalog. The curve of the roof is the curve of the land. That decision made everything else simpler.
