The house is lifted off the ground, and that changes everything. In Golden Beach, where the ocean is close and the risk of flooding is real, elevation is not a stylistic choice. It is the first design decision, and it carries through the entire project.
Raised on a structural platform, the residence opens all four sides to the Atlantic breeze. The ground level becomes a sheltered outdoor room: gym, lounges, cabana, pool, all shaded by the mass of the house above. The living floor, one level up, sits at the treeline, with unbroken views of the ocean through continuous horizontal glazing. The kitchen, the living and dining rooms, and three bedrooms are arranged along this level, oriented east toward the water.
The facade plays on contrast. Clean white stucco against warm wood cladding. Deep overhangs against vertical louvers at the entrance, which filter the light and give the threshold a sense of weight and transition before the openness of the interior takes over.
On the top floor, the master suite dominates. Ocean on one side, private terraces on the other, a spa-like bathroom designed for stillness. Four additional bedrooms and an office share this level, each with its own proportion, its own light, its own view.
The rooftop terrace is simple: open sky, the sound of the ocean, and a long view south along the coast. The tropical landscaping at ground level, dense and salt-tolerant, buries the base of the house in green. From the beach, you see a house that appears to hover above a garden. From inside, you see only the sea.
